BOTOX injections are best known for their ability to mask certain wrinkles of the forehead, and eyes.

BOTOX was the first drug to use Botulin toxin, which is a naturally occurring  anticholinergic agent that blocks muscle contractions. By doing so, wrinkles simply disappear for up to 6 months. The lines commonly referred to as Crow’s feet, worry lines, and laugh lines can all be treated with BOTOX.  We are happy to provide this treatment at POFS for the right candidate. Wrinkles that are deeper set and those with increased skin laxity may require additional procedures in addition to BOTOX for optimal results.

What Can I Expect?

Most people will see results with BOTOX within a few hours, however, the full effect will take place over the course of the first few weeks. Some redness and bruising can occur but is temporary. Occasionally, a droop may be noticeable from one of the upper eyelids. The effects of BOTOX begin to reverse at 4-6 months so patients typically will re-inject to maintain wrinkle-free.
